Barley variety Burevii is a typical winter, medium-maturing cereal variety, distinguished by high cold resistance and frost tolerance. The vegetation period is approximately 262 days, with the variety maturing 2-3 days later than the Dostoiny variety. Plants reach a height of 90-98 cm, ensuring good productivity and lodging resistance, rated at 9 points. The variety also exhibits high resistance to shattering (8 points), and the grain is characterized by large size and yellow color, with 1000-grain weight ranging from 44.2 to 47.5 grams. Burevii shows high resistance to various diseases, including rust and powdery mildew, and demonstrates good drought tolerance. The yield potential of the variety ranges from 7.63 to 8.74 tons per hectare, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic zones of Ukraine, including Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe. An important indicator is the protein content in the grain at 13-14%, indicating high product quality. For successful cultivation of the variety, it is recommended to apply fertilizers and treat seeds with the preparations Yunta Quadro and Celest Top, which helps protect against diseases and increase yield. The variety was developed and recommended by the Selection and Genetics Institute — National Center for Seed Science and Variety Evaluation in Odesa, Ukraine. Thanks to its characteristics and adaptability, barley Burevii is a reliable choice for intensive agriculture.
