Description ATIKO
ATIKO is a mid-early spring barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) variety, primarily intended for grain-feed use. The plants are medium-tall, reaching up to 90 cm in height, with a vegetation period of 95-100 days. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 56 g, indicating good grain development and high crop quality. The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 70 c/ha and above, as well as high grain density — about 570 g/l. The raw protein content in the grain is 12-13.7%, ensuring a good nutritional composition for feed purposes. The grain-to-cereal yield reaches 90% and more. ATIKO is distinguished by its resistance to lodging and drought resistance at the level of standard varieties, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The variety shows resistance to powdery mildew, common and loose smut, as well as root rots, which contributes to maintaining plant health and crop stability. At the same time, the variety is susceptible to brown and dwarf rust, and moderately susceptible to helminthosporiosis, which requires attention during crop protection. It is recommended for cultivation in various regions of Russia, including the North Caucasus region, Orenburg, Kemerovo, Tyumen, and Amur oblasts, the Republic of Bashkortostan, Zabaykalsky, Primorsky, and Khabarovsk krais. The variety can be sown at an air temperature of +10°C, allowing for its use in early spring sowing terms. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and resistance to adverse factors, ATIKO is a highly effective and reliable barley variety for obtaining quality grain and feed.
