WHITE SUMMER

The 'White Summer' apple tree is a medium-sized tree reaching up to 4 meters in height with a crown diameter of about 2.7 meters. In its youth, the crown has a pyramidal shape, which over time becomes more rounded and compact. The tree is characterized by high winter hardiness and frost resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. Fruiting typically begins on the 5-6th year after planting, with yields reaching up to 18.3 tons per hectare, indicating the high potential of the variety. The fruits of the 'White Summer' apple tree have an average weight of about 96 grams, but can reach up to 125 grams, and according to some data, up to 200 grams. Apples have a round-conical or flattened-round shape with smooth yellow-green skin covered by a dense whitish bloom. The flesh is snow-white, loose, juicy, and has an acid-sweet taste with a pleasant aroma. Commercial maturity occurs in the second half of August, corresponding to the summer ripening period. The fruits are distinguished by good quality and are suitable for fresh consumption. For successful cultivation of the variety, it is recommended to plant apple trees on open areas with good ventilation and protection from strong winds. The planting hole should be about 50x50 cm, with straightened roots and fertile soil. Care includes regular application of nitrogen fertilizers in spring and autumn, weed removal, soil loosening, and winter preparation: whitewashing trunks with lime, removing loose bark, and mulching the soil. The variety responds well to pruning and protection against scab, which contributes to maintaining the tree's health and high yield.
