The Victoria apple is a columnar variety with a narrow-pyramidal crown and compact, short branches arranged at an acute angle to the trunk. The tree is dwarf, reaching a height of up to 2 meters, which facilitates care and harvesting. Dense foliage gives the plant a decorative appearance, while the columnar shape allows for rational use of space on the site. The variety is characterized by good frost resistance; however, young trees are recommended to be covered for winter for additional protection. Victoria apple fruits are large, weighing about 150-160 grams, round-cylindrical in shape with a yellow skin background covered with a red blush and a crimson bloom at the time of harvesting maturity. The flesh is a tender white color, of medium density, fine-grained, juicy and aromatic. The taste is predominantly sweet with a slight tartness, which makes the apples especially pleasant to eat fresh. The variety has high taste qualities and withstands transportation well, maintaining its marketable appearance. Fruiting begins in the second year after planting, and a full harvest is achieved by the fourth season. Harvesting takes place in late summer – early autumn (August-September), while the apples are easily picked from the branches located closer to the trunk. The harvest can be stored until February, allowing you to enjoy fresh fruits for a long time. The Victoria apple is resistant to pests and withstands dry conditions well, making it a reliable and attractive choice for gardeners.
