SVERDLOVCHANIN

The 'Sverdlovchanin' apple variety was bred at the Sverdlovsk Breeding Station for Pomology and is distinguished by its high winter hardiness, making it particularly valuable for cultivation in northern regions of Russia. The trees, of medium or tall size, form a strong, spreading, and sufficiently open lattice-like crown, giving them a characteristic appearance. The variety is resistant to frost and high freezing temperatures, as well as has a stable yield, ensuring a good harvest of fruits every year.

Fruits of the 'Sverdlovchanin' variety have an average weight of 80 to 128 grams and are characterized by a round or flat-round shape with a yellowish-white or light yellow color. The variety belongs to the late-winter ripening period; fruits ripen in the second decade of September and are well-preserved throughout the winter, increasing their marketability.

Fruit bearing begins with the 3–4 year after planting, allowing the crop to be obtained quite quickly. The variety has medium resistance to scab, which requires certain attention in tree care.
