The columnar apple tree Trident (Tramin) is a dwarf variety of English origin, ideal for both home and commercial cultivation. The tree is characterized by its low growth and compactness, reaching a height of 2-2.5 meters by the 3rd-4th year. The crown can be shaped in various ways — columnar, bowl-shaped, pyramidal, or spherical — making it convenient for growing in containers and pots, as well as for decorative purposes. The lateral branches grow at a moderate rate, about 10-15 cm per year, and fruiting occurs mainly on spurs and fruiting branches.
The fruits of the Trident apple are medium-sized, weighing 120-150 grams, with a yellow-green color and a dark red or pinkish blush.
