Apple variety Anniversary MIS — a winter, early-bearing, and high-yielding variety of Ukrainian selection, developed at the Institute of Pomology named after L.P. Simirenko, NAAN. The tree is either weakly or moderately vigorous with a compact, upright, and moderately dense crown. Branches diverge from the trunk at a sharp angle, with tips directed upward. Fruit set is ring-shaped, with early flowering. On a dwarf rootstock M.9, the variety begins bearing fruit as early as the second or third year after planting, while the average yield of 5–10-year-old orchards on rootstock M.7 reaches 20 tons per hectare. The fruit are round-conical, slightly flattened, weighing from 160 to 205 grams. Their color is yellow-green with a moderate, diffused, pale-pink blush covering most of the surface, as well as faint, small, light-colored subcutaneous spots and an intense bluish bloom. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, crisp, juicy, aromatic, and finely-grained, with a pleasant sour-sweet or wine-sweet dessert flavor, confirmed by a sensory evaluation score of 4.5 points. The skin is of medium thickness, dense, smooth, and moderately waxy. The variety exhibits high resistance to scab and powdery mildew, as well as moderate winter hardiness. Harvesting for consumption occurs at the end of September to the beginning of October, while consumer ripeness is reached in December. The fruit are well-suited for transportation and can be stored in refrigeration until March–April, making them suitable for both fresh consumption and juice production. Anniversary MIS is an excellent choice for gardeners who value early fruiting, high yields, and high-quality winter apples.
