Slava Peremozhtsam

Apple tree variety Slava переможцам — a high-yielding autumn variety of domestic breeding, developed in Ukraine at the Institute of Pomology named after L.P. Simirenko. Trees of this variety are characterized by strong or medium growth with a wide pyramidal, and with age, rounded crown of medium density. Branches are sufficiently thick, and the crown forms roundly. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, making it especially suitable for cultivation in the climatic conditions of Ukraine.

Fruits are medium to large in size, weighing from 125 to 250 grams, with an oval-conical shape. The skin is thin, yellow-green in color with a dense glossy or waxy coating, and covered with a bright blush ranging from light red to dark red, sometimes with a blurred-striped pattern. The flesh is creamy, juicy, tender, with a pleasant sweet-tart flavor and aroma, sometimes with pink veins. Fruits ripen at the end of August — beginning of September and can be stored for up to one and a half months.

Trees begin fruiting on the 5th–6th year after planting. The variety is characterized by high and stable yield, not prone to sharp fruiting periodicity. The apple tree responds well to fertilization, which contributes to improving both the quality and quantity of the harvest. The variety was obtained by crossing apple trees Paprika and McIntosh, ensuring a combination of the best qualities of both parents. Seedlings of the variety Slava переможцам are grown on medium and dwarf rootstocks, allowing adaptation to different conditions and needs of gardeners.
