Amaranth IVANUSHA

Focusing on grain amaranth in crop rotation

The 'Ivanushka' variety is one of the most sought-after selection products for farms specializing in niche, high-margin crops. Its key advantage lies in its specialized profile: this is a classic grain amaranth variety designed for high-quality grain production, intended for milling into groats and serving as raw material for the nutraceutical industry.

Agronomic goals and practical implementation

In the field, 'Ivanushka' is chosen by growers focused on processing and end-product value. Unlike forage varieties, this variety demonstrates a consistent yield of high-protein, squalene-rich grain. Typical farm implementation scenarios include:

• Dietary food production: due to its clean composition, the grain is highly sought after by producers of gluten-free foods.
• Food processing: used as a base for functional food additives and supplements where nutrient concentration is paramount.
• Optimized supply chains: being a locally bred variety, 'Ivanushka' is well-adapted to specific regional climatic conditions, reducing the risks associated with imported seed material.

When planning acreage, growers should note that the variety requires strict adherence to harvesting schedules to minimize field losses characteristic of small-seed crops. Farms integrating this variety effectively meet market demand for locally sourced, ecologically clean raw materials, ultimately achieving higher profit margins compared to traditional cereal crops.
