KOVAS MEMORY AMARANTH

Kovas Memory Amaranth is a medium-maturing vegetable variety of amaranth, a herbaceous plant standing from 90 to 110 cm tall. Its dark green, tender, and juicy leaves, along with upright red inflorescences with a brownish hue, make it not only decorative but also a useful plant for growing. Amaranth is known in Russia as щирица or velvetweed and has a long history of use in food and medicine.

This amaranth variety is versatile in application: its leaves, young shoots, and inflorescences can be consumed fresh, for example in salads and soups, as well as dried. The yield of green mass is 3-4 kg per square meter, and dry mass is 0.3-0.4 kg per square meter, making it profitable for growing both in home gardens and for commercial purposes.
