Dobrynya

Dobrynya is an early Sh2 type sweet corn hybrid with a maturation period of about 70 days. The plant reaches a height of 170 cm, and the ear attachment is at a height of 70 cm. On average, one plant forms 1.5 full ears with a length of about 25 cm and a diameter of up to 5.5 cm, with 16-18 rows of grains. This hybrid is highly adaptable to various soils and is successfully grown in all climatic zones of Ukraine. It has tolerance to such diseases as smut, rust, mosaic, and wilt, which ensures crop stability and high product quality.

Corn Dobrynya is renowned for its excellent taste qualities and appearance, making it an ideal choice for both fresh markets and processing. This American-bred variety is distinguished by one of the longest ears among similar hybrids, which increases its appeal to manufacturers and consumers. Due to its resistance to many corn diseases, Dobrynya ensures a reliable and high-quality yield.

In addition, the Dobrynya variety belongs to new high-yield and high-protein amaranth varieties created by scientists at Voronezh State Agrarian University. Amaranth as a crop surpasses traditional cereals and pulse crops in protein, amino acid, vitamin, and micronutrient content. Amaranth green mass is used for feeding various types of farm animals, and under favorable conditions, the yield of green mass reaches 400-600 c/ha, and grain yield is 16-25 c/ha. High amino acid content, including lysine, makes Dobrynya a valuable and multifunctional plant for agriculture.
