Amaranth Giant

Scale and Potential: Why «Giant» is a Top Choice for Producers

The «Giant» variety is a landmark breeding achievement developed by a team of authors (Sartovsky L.I., Voronkov N.F., Goptsiy T.V.) under the patronage of the «Russkaya Oliva» company. Today, the «Amarant Technologiya» brand handles the distribution and technological support for this material. This variety is a prime example of a multipurpose crop that performs equally well in both decorative horticulture and intensive industrial farming.

Agronomic Characteristics and Morphology

The plant fully justifies its name, reaching a height of 200 to 250 centimeters. Visually, «Giant» is easily recognized by its rich green foliage and striking orange inflorescences. Due to its aesthetic appeal, it is frequently used in landscape design for hedges or background planting; however, the true potential of the crop lies in its biochemical profile.

Versatility of Use

The key value of «Giant» lies in the wide range of applications for its harvested produce:

• Grain: The primary raw material for high-quality amaranth oil, valued for its squalene content. It also serves as a premium component in animal feed.
• Green Biomass: An ideal option for forage. The high yield of green mass makes this variety an optimal choice for supplying cattle and poultry with essential nutrients during the summer season and for ensiling.

Choosing «Giant» is an investment in consistently high yields of both vegetative mass and grain. In today's market, «Amarant Technologiya» offers more than just seeds; they provide genetics refined over decades, enabling a zero-waste production cycle—from extracting valuable oil to supplying the farm with high-quality feed resources.
