Ursus Poly sugar beet is a semisweet variety with cylindrical, yellow-orange roots and smooth surface. The flesh of the roots is white and juicy, providing high nutritional value and attractiveness for farm animals. The roots reach an average weight of 5 to 7 kg and penetrate the soil by approximately 40%, facilitating harvest and reducing soil contamination. The vegetation period is 140-160 days, with maturation occurring in mid-late season.
The Ursus Poly variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 1000 to 1300 centners per hectare, with dry matter content in the roots ranging from 14 to 15%, and digestible protein content of about 6-7 grams per kilogram. Additionally, the plant produces significant green mass — 290 to 360 kg per hectare, which can also be used for feed purposes. The beet responds well to fertilizer application and fertile soils, enabling stable and high yields, especially on sandy and fertile soils.
Ursus Poly is low-maintenance and suitable for cultivation across all regions of Ukraine. The recommended seeding rate is 10-15 kg of seeds per hectare. Due to its characteristics and nutritional value, this sugar beet variety is an economically advantageous and practical choice for farmers aiming to improve animal feed rations and increase feeding efficiency.
