Amaranth variety "Universal" is a universal grain crop and green fodder widely used in agriculture. This amaranth variety is characterized by a corrugated yellow stem with betacyanin pigmentation at the base, light green leaves with entire margins, and medium stalk coloration. Amaranth-type inflorescences have a brown color, medium density, and a vertical or slightly drooping position. Seeds are white, disc-shaped with glassy endosperm; the mass of 1000 seeds is 0.73-0.75 g. Plant height reaches up to 200 cm, leafiness is 36.4%.

The "Universal" variety is distinguished by high yield: green mass up to 791 c/ha, dry matter — 130.3 c/ha, and seeds — up to 27 c/ha. Fat content in seeds is 8.0%. The vegetative period from germination to the first cut lasts 43-60 days, and to full seed maturity — 119-125 days. Amaranth is drought-resistant, which allows it to be grown in various climatic conditions and regions.
