Tsarichanka

The winter wheat variety Tsarichanka was created by hybridizing the varieties Donskoy Polukarlikovyy and Kolomak 3, followed by individual selection. This variety belongs to the first maturity group and is characterized by high winter hardiness, drought resistance, as well as resistance to diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, and fusarium. Tsarichanka has high yield, reaching 92.3 centners per hectare, and forms large grains with thousand-grain weight ranging from 40.1 to 48.3 grams. Due to its high protein and gluten content, the wheat has excellent baking properties, making it suitable for cultivation on various agro-ecological zones with high and medium fertility.

Moreover, the Tsarichanka variety is widely used as feed wheat in animal husbandry for producing compound feed. The grain contains a high level of carbohydrates, protein (11-15%), B and E vitamins, as well as important microelements such as phosphorus and lysine. Low grain moisture content (no more than 15%) contributes to its quality and long-term storage. High yield and nutritional value make this variety in demand for animal feeding and production of feed mixes.
