Kievskaya Shedrivka is a non-awned, intensive winter wheat variety, characterized by high drought resistance and resistance to lodging. The plant is erect, with a thick and strong stem, height ranging from 87 to 103 cm. The ear is cylindrical, medium length, and loose, with red-colored kernels. The thousand-kernel weight ranges from 43.0–48.0 g. The variety is medium-early maturing, ripening in 270–275 days, making it suitable for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine. Kievskaya Shedrivka is characterized by high yield — up to 8.6 t/ha — and good grain quality. Protein content is 14.0%, and gluten content is 30.0%. The variety has moderate resistance to diseases such as powdery mildew, brown rust, and septoria, rated at 7 points, and winter hardiness at 85%. The milling and baking properties of the variety are good: flour strength is 330 arbitrary units, and bread volume is 1200 mm, indicating its value for the bakery industry. Recommended for cultivation in the Forest-Steppe and Steppe regions of Ukraine, this variety meets the requirements of medium-early conditions and is intended for grain use. The developer is the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, and official registration occurred in 2016. Kievskaya Shedrivka combines vigorous growth, high-quality grain, and adaptability to climatic conditions, making it a favorable choice for farmers.
