Yaroslavna

Wheat variety Yaroslavna is a lutescent type with white, cylindrical, and awnless ears. It is a medium-early variety with a vegetation period of 272 to 278 days, intended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones. Plant height reaches 95-99 cm, and the thousand-grain weight is 42-45 g. The variety has a high yield potential — from 7.14 to 7.17 tons per hectare — making it attractive for grain use. Additionally, the grain exhibits strong quality characteristics and oil content ranging from 12.7-13.4%.

Yaroslavna is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to various diseases and adverse factors. The variety shows resistance to lodging and shattering at levels of 6-8 points, as well as high resistance to root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew, reaching 8-9 points on the resistance scale. These traits ensure stable yields and reduce risks of losses under adverse weather conditions and diseases.

The variety was developed by the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine and registered in 2010. Yaroslavna is recommended for intensive production technologies and is widely used in agriculture, especially in cooperatives engaged in cereal cultivation. Due to its characteristics and adaptability, this wheat variety is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality yields in forest-steppe and steppe regions.
