Wheat Prestige

Stability in the field

The «Prestyzhnyi» winter durum wheat is a selection product from the Plant Breeding and Genetics Institute, designed for those who avoid risks in complex soil conditions. From an operator's perspective, this variety is highly predictable. Its key advantage is strong lodging resistance. When combining, the header remains stable, and there is no flattening of the stems, which is critical for minimizing harvest losses. The grain does not shatter, and the stalks maintain vertical integrity even after heavy rainfall.

Operational Performance

• Process Control: The variety shows excellent responsiveness to agronomic input. It does not require complex machinery adjustments due to excessive vegetative mass, as the crop develops uniformly.
• Harvesting Efficiency: Durum wheat requires different threshing settings compared to soft wheat, but «Prestyzhnyi» threshes cleanly without damaging the grain. This reduces the load on the sieves and fans, allowing for higher harvesting speeds without compromising grain quality.
• Resource Efficiency: The variety handles the winter period well, which reduces the need for reseeding or additional equipment passes in the spring to restore crop density.

If your strategy involves producing high-quality durum grain with high protein and vitreousness, this variety is a reliable choice. It is forgiving of minor technological gaps, ensuring stable commercial output at standard costs per hectare.
