Description Corn Hybrid Kadr 318 MV
Corn hybrid Kadr 318 MV is a three-line hybrid with FAO 260, developed by the Dnepropetrovsk Institute of Grain Farming. This hybrid has passed state variety testing and has been included in the state register since 2001. Plants reach a height of 220-250 cm, have weak bushiness and high resistance to lodging and diseases. Grain is yellow, dent-shaped, with a 1000-grain weight of about 230-260 g, ensuring high potential yields of 12.5-13.0 t/ha.

The Kadr variety is recommended for cultivation as grain and silage in the Northern Steppe and forest-steppe zones of Ukraine. The optimal planting density is 50-55 thousand plants per hectare. Corn has moderate drought, disease, and pest resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. The grain is positioned on a cylindrical ear of 21-23 cm length, and the main stem forms up to 16 leaves.

Corn Kadr is an important forage crop, widely used for silage production due to its high yield of green mass and good digestibility. It is also valued in the food industry, as its grain is used to produce flour, grit, alcohol, and oil with medicinal properties. Due to its adaptability and high productivity, this variety holds significant importance in crop rotation and Ukrainian agriculture.
