Maize KM 3200

Culinary potential of KM 3200

KM 3200 from Genex Ukraine is a specialized maize variety with a focus on culinary performance rather than industrial or feed characteristics. Developed by originators Oleksii Shabatko and Vitalii Karunnyi, this variety is engineered to provide superior grain morphology specifically for human consumption.

Technical features and practical application

• Grain structure: The dent (dent-like) grain type provides an optimal balance between endosperm tenderness and structural integrity, which is essential for consistent results in salads and side dishes.
• Heat processing versatility: The variety shows remarkable stability when grilled, allowing for natural caramelization without losing its moisture or shape.
• Culinary versatility: Due to its specific biochemical profile, KM 3200 is highly suitable for niche culinary tasks such as producing sweet corn jam, where preserving the grain's structure during long-term boiling is critical.

For growers targeting the fresh produce market, the KM 3200 represents a strategic choice. Unlike standard field hybrids designed for high-tonnage output, this Genex Ukraine variety is a precision tool for the HoReCa sector and home culinary enthusiasts. The breeding process prioritized flavor profile and ease of processing, ensuring that the corn performs predictably across various cooking methods—from simple steaming to complex barbecue preparation.

KM 3200 is an example of modern Ukrainian breeding successfully aligning with consumer market demands, providing a raw material that satisfies the highest culinary standards for freshness, texture, and taste.
