Memory Gyrka

Winter wheat variety "Memory Gyrka" is an intensive medium-height variety with a strong stem of medium thickness and plant height ranging from 81 to 97 cm. Leaves are medium-sized, grayish-green with a distinct waxy coating, which contributes to resistance against adverse conditions. Grain is red, oval-shaped with a small proportion of powdery seeds, 1000-grain weight varies from 40 to 55 g. Test weight of grain is 699–788 g/l, indicating high raw material quality.

The variety belongs to the erythrospermum type and is characterized by high resistance to drought, lodging, shattering, and diseases. It is frost-tolerant and medium-maturing, with a maturation period of 280–285 days. Yield on demonstration plantings reached 98.6 c/ha, and in some cases up to 10.8 t/ha, making it valuable for cultivation in the forest-steppe and Polissya regions of Ukraine.

Quality indicators of the "Memory Gyrka" variety include protein content up to 12.7% and crude gluten content of 29.0%. Bread volume from 100 g of flour is 600–680 ml, confirming the high baking value of the grain. The variety was developed through individual selection from the hybrid combination Polissya-92/PPG and is recommended for intensive agriculture aimed at achieving stable and high yields.
