Soft winter wheat Yelanchik is a mid-early and quick-maturing variety intended for obtaining high-quality grain, especially valuable for the baking industry. Plants of this variety have a medium-growth and short-stemmed form with a height of 74 to 95 cm, which contributes to resistance to lodging. The vegetative period ranges from 212 to 299 days, allowing efficient use of the variety under various climatic conditions.

Yelanchik is distinguished by high yield with a potential up to 107.2 c/ha, as well as good winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in arid and diverse soil-climatic zones. The variety shows resistance to diseases such as brown and yellow rust, powdery mildew, as well as viruses, while being moderately susceptible to septoria and ear fusarium. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 38 to 49 grams, indicating high grain quality.

Recommended for cultivation in the Central-Black Soil, North-Caucasian, and Lower-Volga regions, as well as in a number of administrative zones, including the Republic of Adygea, Karachay-Cherkessia, Krasnodar Krai, Rostov Region, Stavropol Krai, and Kalmykia. Thanks to its characteristics, the Yelanchik variety is widely used in agriculture for sowing on various soil types, ensuring stable expression of variety traits and high productivity.
