Soft spring wheat KRASNOUFIMSKAYA 100® is a mid-season and mid-height grain wheat variety designed for high yield and quality grain. This variety is characterized by stable development, lodging resistance, and adaptation to various climatic conditions. The plant is semi-erect, the ear is cylindrical and loose with medium density, the grain is oval with medium-length color and awn. The 1000-grain weight is 40-43 grams, indicating good seed quality. The variety is highly responsive to mineral fertilizers, which allows significantly increasing yield.
KRASNOUFIMSKAYA 100 is widely used in flour-milling and bread-making industries and animal feed production due to high technological grain characteristics. Protein content in the grain is 13-14%, gluten is 25-31%, and flour strength ranges from 240 to 320 units. The volume of bread baked from flour of this variety reaches up to 1000 ml, and the overall baking quality rating is in the range of 4.5-5.0 points, confirming high product quality. The variety is moderately resistant to powdery and hard head smut, root rot, and Hessian fly, but is susceptible to yellow rust and highly susceptible to brown rust, powdery mildew, and septoria.
Studies conducted under various weather conditions showed that the use of mineral fertilizers significantly increases the yield of KRASNOUFIMSKAYA 100 wheat. In favorable years, yield can reach 5-6 tons per hectare. The best results are achieved when growing the variety after clover, which ensures high technological grain indicators, including natural weight, 1000-grain weight, uniformity, protein content, and gluten. When grown after grain predecessors, grain quality decreases slightly, which should be taken into account when planning crop rotation.
