Description KIPRIDA
Kiprida is a hard winter wheat variety (Triticum durum Desf.) created at the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Agricultural Scientific Center "Donskoy" and included in the State Register of Breeding Achievements of the Russian Federation since 2018. This medium-early variety has a vegetative period ranging from 269 to 306 days. The plants are medium height, ranging from 70 to 88 cm, with a pyramidal, dense, white ear of medium length. The variety is resistant to lodging and has moderate winter hardiness, making it suitable for cultivation in the regions of the North Caucasus and Lower Volga Federal Districts, in particular in the Volgograd region. In terms of drought resistance, Kiprida surpasses the Terra variety, ensuring crop stability under conditions of moisture deficit.

The grain of the variety is characterized by a 1000-grain mass of 37-41 grams, high vitreousness (84-95%), and a natural weight of 761-812 g/l. Protein content in the grain ranges from 13.33 to 16.13%, while the gluten belongs to quality group II-III with indicators of 22.9-29.4%. These indicators provide satisfactory pasta qualities, for which reason the variety is recommended for the production of grain and short-tubed pasta products. In terms of protein content and grain quality, Kiprida meets or exceeds the standard Aksinit variety.

The variety is resistant to a number of diseases: it is moderately resistant to brown rust, resistant to yellow rust and powdery mildew. Under field conditions, fusarium infection of the ear is observed weakly, which is comparable to the indicators of the standard Krupinka. At the same time, the variety is susceptible to hard head smut and septoria. The yield of Kiprida in the region reaches an average of 26.9 c/ha, with maximum indicators up to 74.8 c/ha, which confirms its high productivity and adaptability.
