HELIOS 15

HELIOS 15 is a medium-early maturing variety of hard winter wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) intended for cultivation in southern regions of Russia, such as the Pridnepravskaya and Southern zones of the Rostov region and the Stavropol Territory. The variety's vegetative period ranges from 230 to 289 days. The wheat is characterized by high resistance to lodging, pyramidal, short and dense white spikelets. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 48 grams. However, the variety is susceptible to diseases such as brown rust and septoria, which requires appropriate agronomic care. Drought resistance is at the level of the standard, making the variety adapted to the region's conditions. HELIOS 15 is distinguished by good yield and grain quality, making it attractive for agricultural production in the specified zones. Thanks to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for cultivation in conditions of a moderate climate with periodic droughts, ensuring a stable harvest. Spikelet structure features and grain density contribute to efficient processing and application in the food industry. To protect HELIOS 15 wheat crops from weeds, the use of the systemic herbicide Helios is recommended, which contains isopropylamine salt of glyphosate. This preparation is effective against annual and perennial weeds, penetrating the root system and destroying both above-ground and underground parts of plants. The herbicide is released in the form of a water-soluble concentrate and is used in grain crop plantings, including wheat. It can also be used as a desiccant to accelerate harvest, increasing the efficiency of agronomic activities.
