Golden Step

Winter wheat variety Golden Step is a high-quality cereal crop adapted to the climatic conditions of Ukraine, particularly suitable for cultivation in steppe and forest-steppe zones. This variety is distinguished by its high yield, reaching approximately 59.5 centners per hectare in the Steppe zone and up to 65.5 centners per hectare in the Forest-Steppe zone. The vegetation period lasts about 278–288 days, enabling a stable and timely harvest. Grain weight per 1,000 seeds ranges from 42.6–44.1 grams, indicating seed size and quality.

The variety exhibits high resistance to adverse environmental factors, including drought, lodging, shattering, and damage from major diseases and pests. Cold and heat tolerance ensure reliable cultivation under various climatic conditions. Additionally, wheat is characterized by high protein content (approximately 14.2–14.3%) and gluten content (29.4–30.5%), making it suitable for producing high-quality flour with good strength and baking properties.

For sowing, the recommended seeding rate is within the range of 180–250 kg/ha, ensuring optimal plant distribution and maximum productivity. The Golden Step variety is suitable for intensive farming on medium and high agrofond, allowing farmers to achieve stable and high yields.
