The early spring wheat variety Elegia Myronovska is one of the best early varieties of Ukrainian selection, recommended for cultivation in the Forest Steppe and Polesie. It belongs to strong, high-yielding varieties capable of forming yields up to 65 centners per hectare. The plant is medium-height, with a sturdy stem up to 100 cm tall and a cylindrical ear 9.5-12 cm long. The grain has high test weight (751 g/l), 1000-grain weight from 44 to 51.5 g, gluten content 90%, gluten 29%, and protein 15.7%. Elegia Myronovska is characterized by high resistance to major diseases such as brown rust and powdery mildew, and moderate resistance to septoria, requiring fungicide application for protection. The variety is resistant to lodging, stem breakage, and drought, making it a reliable choice for various agro-climatic conditions. It belongs to a semi-intensive type, allowing cultivation both with and without mineral fertilizers, with the recommended seeding rate of 5-6 million seeds per hectare at a planting depth of 3-5 cm. To achieve maximum yield, crop rotation with predecessors such as sugar beet, soybean, potato, and corn is recommended. The variety responds well to foliar feeding and is suitable for early sowing. Due to its plasticity and adaptability to growing conditions, Elegia Myronovska is an effective choice for farmers aiming to obtain a stable and high wheat yield.
