The 'Etude' wheat variety is a soft winter wheat intended for producing high-quality flour and bread. The plant is characterized by early maturity and relatively low height, reaching about 66 cm, which contributes to resistance against lodging. The cone-shaped ear, 7-8 cm long, contains grains weighing 39-51 g per 1000 seeds. The grain protein content is 14-16%, and gluten content is not less than 26%, ensuring good baking qualities.
Etude exhibits high resistance to major diseases, including rust and powdery mildew, and possesses genetic resistance to shattering and lodging. The variety demonstrates drought resistance comparable to the 'Don 107' variety, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. It is recommended for cultivation in Steppe and Forest-Steppe zones and is included in the State Register for the North Caucasus and Lower Volga regions, with successful application in the Northwest and Northeast parts of Rostov and Volgograd Oblasts.
To achieve high yields, it is recommended to sow at a rate of approximately 6 million seeds per hectare with seed depth of 3-4 cm. Wheat responds well to foliar microfertilizer applications and requires insecticide and fungicide treatments for protection against pests and diseases. Due to its qualities and adaptability, the 'Etude' variety is an excellent choice for food industry and bread production.
