BOYEVCHAN is a mid-early soft spring wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) variety with a vegetation period of 73-85 days, recommended for cultivation in the Ural and Western Siberian regions, including the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Kurgan region, and the southern forest-steppe zone of the Omsk region. The plant is of medium height with a semi-upright culm, a medium-density cylindrical ear, and white coloration. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 30 to 40 grams, indicating the variety's large grain size. The variety belongs to the lutescens type and is characterized by strong straw with a pronounced waxy coating, which contributes to lodging resistance.
BOYEVCHAN possesses high baking qualities: protein content reaches 16.1%, raw gluten is 32.7%, and glassiness is 57%. These indicators ensure excellent grain quality for producing bakery products. The variety's yield averages about 19.3 c/ha, with maximum indicators reaching 45.5 c/ha under favorable conditions. The variety is characterized by high lodging resistance (5 points) and is resistant to major diseases such as brown rust, powdery mildew, and dusty bunt, making it a reliable choice for late sowing dates.
The BOYEVCHAN variety was developed based on the pedigree (Saratovskaya 60 x Lutescens 150/86-10) x (Saratovskaya 62 x Bastian) and was included in the State Register in 2009. It is recommended for cultivation under moderate drought resistance and demonstrates stable yield and grain quality indicators. Thanks to the combination of high productivity, disease resistance, and excellent baking properties, BOYEVCHAN is a promising variety for agricultural producers focused on high-quality grain and stable yields.
