PH 2 RX 1 — this is a high-yielding, early-maturing corn hybrid developed by Ukrainian breeders. It belongs to the FAO maturity group 180 and is characterized by stable grain yields up to 14 tons per hectare, as well as high productivity when grown for silage and grain. The hybrid features conical-cylindrical yellow-orange kernels and plant height of approximately 240-250 cm, ensuring good adaptability to various growing conditions. Recommended cultivation zones include Polissia, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe of Ukraine.
One of the key features of PH 2 RX 1 is its high drought resistance, heat tolerance, and cold tolerance, enabling stable yields even under adverse climatic conditions. The hybrid demonstrates low pre-harvest grain moisture, facilitating harvesting and storage. Additionally, the corn has excellent storability and transportability, making it convenient for commercial use.
PH 2 RX 1 also exhibits high resistance to diseases, including powdery mildew and fusarium, confirmed by genetic resistance to various strains of these diseases. The hybrid produces 4-5 ears per plant, each weighing 2-2.5 kg, with large kernel rows and white, aromatic flesh. Due to its small seed cavity and ability to produce high yields under stress conditions, this hybrid is a promising choice for the early corn segment.
