AELITA is a wheat variety with awns, intended for cultivation in steppe, forest-steppe, and forest-steppe zones. The plants are of medium height, short-stemmed type, with a height of 95-105 cm, which ensures resistance to lodging. The vegetative period is 266-275 days, the variety belongs to the medium-early maturity group and has a medium vernalization stage of 27-29 days. Photoperiodic sensitivity is expressed in 67 days, which allows adaptation to various lighting conditions. Sowing is recommended in medium and late terms with a sowing rate of 3.0-4.5 million seeds per hectare.
The variety is characterized by high resistance to common diseases, including septoria and various types of smut, with a rating of 8-9 points, as well as moderate resistance to powdery mildew, brown and stem rust (5-7 points). Frost and winter hardiness are assessed at a level of 7-8 points, which ensures reliable overwintering. High resistance to grain shedding on the root contributes to preserving the yield. The ear is cylindrical, medium length (6.5-7.0 cm), white in color, with long rigid awns, which is characteristic of the leucurum variety.
Grain quality meets the requirements for premium hard wheat. The mass of 1000 grains is high, the grain is large (43.6-52.7 g), with a natural density of 798-800 g/l. Protein content ranges from 13.1 to 14.7%, gluten - 27.4-31.3%, which ensures high technological indicators. Sedimentation ability is average, and the overall rating of pasta products reaches 4.5-5.0 points, which confirms the high quality of the product. Yield potential is very high, which makes the variety attractive for traditional and surface soil treatment.
