ALTAISKAYA 105 — a soft spring wheat variety (Triticum aestivum L.) intended for cultivation in the Altai Krai and the Northern forest-steppe of Novosibirsk Oblast. This is a medium-maturing and medium-stature variety with a semi-erect plant and a medium-density pyramidal spike. The grain is colored, with a 1000-grain mass ranging from 33 to 40 grams. The plant has medium drought and lodging resistance, making it technologically efficient and reliable for various medium and high-intensity agricultural technologies. The variety is characterized by good bread-making qualities, confirmed by high gluten content (about 31.1%) and protein (13.6%), as well as flour strength of 255 activity units. Natural grain mass reaches 814 g/l, and vitreousness is 91%, corresponding to the requirements for valuable wheat. In terms of bread yield volume, the variety exceeds standard samples, ensuring high product output and excellent flour quality. ALTAISKAYA 105 is moderately resistant to brown rust and powdery mildew, but susceptible to hard head smut, root rots, and septoria. The variety is recommended for cultivation in the Rubtsovka- Aleyskaya steppe zone of the Altai Krai and shows medium yields of about 22.9 c/ha in the West Siberian region. Thanks to the combination of high productivity, resistance to unfavorable conditions, and excellent technological characteristics, this variety is a profitable choice for regional agricultural producers.
