The 'Yaroslavna' cherry variety is a high-yielding and early-ripening cultivar developed in Ukraine, at the Donetsk branch of the Institute of Horticulture of UAAN. This variety was obtained by crossing Melitopolsk hybrids with the 'Drohan Yellow' variety and is characterized by high resistance to fruit cracking under frequent rainfall and high humidity. Fruits ripen at the end of June, and from one mature tree, up to 50 kg of harvest can be collected. Trees are vigorous, with round, moderately dense crowns. The 'Yaroslavna' cherry fruits have an oval shape, intense burgundy color, which turns nearly black upon full ripening. Fruit weight reaches 10-12 g, with mass potentially up to 100 g, indicating relatively large berries. The flesh is dark cherry-colored, firm and very juicy, with a pleasant sweet taste and slight acidity. The stone is medium-sized, round, and easily separates from the flesh. Due to its dense skin, the fruits have high storability and good transportability, making this variety suitable for both personal use and commercial cultivation. The 'Yaroslavna' variety exhibits enhanced frost resistance, drought tolerance, and high immunity to diseases of fruit trees. However, it is not self-fertile, so pollinators such as 'Drohan Yellow', 'Valeriy Chkalov', 'Melitopolskaya Rannaya', and 'Anushka' are required for good yields. Seedlings reach a height of 140-160 cm and are typically supplied in black stretch film packaging on an anti-pinch rootstock. This variety combines excellent flavor, high resistance to adverse weather conditions, and ease of storage and transport.
