Description Voloshka
The Voloшка plum variety is a high-yielding late-ripening fruit tree developed by Ukrainian breeders. The trees are vigorous with round, moderately dense crowns, reaching a height of about 120-150 cm. The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness, drought resistance, and resistance to various fungal diseases, making it low-maintenance and suitable for regions with variable climates, including the forest-steppe.

The fruits of Voloшка plum are large, weighing 50-100 grams, oval or slightly flattened in shape, with a dense dark-blue skin marked by green-purple and orange spots, as well as brown dots on the surface. The flesh is firm, juicy, with a yellow-green hue, and has a pleasant sour-sweet taste with a mild acidity. The stone separates easily from the flesh, facilitating consumption and processing.

The Voloшка plum is not self-fertile and requires pollinators to ensure a stable yield. The harvest period falls in mid-September, allowing for fresh consumption and processing. Mature trees yield 40-60 kg, making this variety attractive to gardeners and farmers seeking high-quality and abundant harvests. The rootstock for seedlings is typically apricot, and packaging is done in black stretch film to preserve quality during transport.
