TC Sun 2

TC Sun Plum is a new American variety of Chinese plum, selected in Japan, distinguished by its large fruit size and high yield. The tree is medium-sized, reaching heights of 1.6 to 3 meters, which facilitates care and harvesting. The fruits are large, weighing 100 to 150 grams, round and slightly flattened, light yellow in color with a waxy coating. The flesh is dense, juicy, tender, yellow-orange in hue, with a pleasant aroma and balanced flavor combining sweetness with a slight acidity. The pit is small and easily separates from the flesh or remains partially attached.

The variety is characterized by high winter hardiness and disease resistance, making it suitable for cultivation in all regions of Ukraine. TC Sun is partially self-fertile, but for better pollination, it is recommended to plant it alongside diploid plum varieties such as Favor, Hollywood, Sharofugu, and Green Sun. The trees have moderate density, promoting good air circulation and reducing disease risk.

The fruits ripen in early to mid-September and are distinguished by high marketability and transportability. The storage period for the harvest ranges from 30 days to 3.5–4 months under proper conditions. Due to its excellent flavor and versatility, TC Sun plum is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing, making it attractive for both private gardeners and commercial cultivation.
