Description Blu Dzhaient 2
Blu Dzhaient 2 plum is a medium-sized tree up to 3-3.5 meters tall with a compact, narrow-pyramidal crown, making it suitable for cultivation even on limited plots. The tree begins fruiting from the 2nd-3rd year after planting, providing a stable and high yield — up to 50-70 kg per mature plant. The variety is characterized by high resistance to diseases such as moniliosis and clasterosporiosis, as well as good cold tolerance down to -25°C, allowing successful cultivation under various climatic conditions. Additionally, Blu Dzhaient 2 tolerates temperature fluctuations and short-term drought, enhancing its stress resistance.

The fruits are oval-shaped, weighing 50-80 grams, covered with dark-purple skin and a dense waxy coating with numerous small lenticels. The flesh is yellow, firm, and very juicy, with a pleasantly sour-sweet taste that refreshes. The stone is small and easily separates from the flesh, making the fruits convenient for fresh consumption and processing into compotes, jams, and jellies. Ripening occurs at the end of September — beginning of October, which falls within late-ripening varieties.

The variety is self-fertile, simplifying tree care, although cross-pollination with other plum varieties can increase yield. The tree has strong wood capable of supporting a significant fruit load. Its compact size and columnar crown shape make this variety practical for gardeners, allowing efficient space use and easy harvesting. Blu Dzhaient 2 combines high productivity, excellent taste, and resistance to adverse conditions, making it an attractive choice for cultivation in gardens and orchards.
