Description Oda
Oda plum is a Ukrainian large-fruited early-maturing variety that begins fruiting on the 3rd-4th year after planting. The tree is medium-sized with a medium-dense, rounded crown, requiring light spring pruning and regular rejuvenating pruning to maintain high yields. Flowering occurs at the end of April — beginning of May, abundantly and synchronously, contributing to stable fruiting. The variety is distinguished by high frost resistance and resistance to fungal diseases, allowing successful cultivation in all climatic zones of Ukraine for more than 30 years.

The fruits of the Oda plum are large, oval-shaped, weighing 40-50 g on average, with a dense purplish-bordeaux skin, greenish-purple spots, and a waxy bloom that easily rubs off. The flesh is yellow, tender, juicy, with a pleasant sour-sweet taste enhanced by spicy notes. The stone is small and easily separates from the flesh, making the fruits convenient for consumption and processing. The variety is transportable, allowing the fruits to retain quality during transportation.

The Oda plum is characterized by high yield — a mature tree can produce up to 80 kg of fruit per season. It fruits on bouquet branches, spurs, and short fruiting shoots. Due to its rapid fruiting, stable yield, and excellent taste qualities, this variety is popular among gardeners and suitable for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine.
