Vetch FLORIA

Boosting Fodder Quality with Floriya Vetch

Floriya spring vetch, developed by RosNIISK «Rossorgo», is a strategic choice for agricultural enterprises aiming to maximize protein content in forage production. With a vegetation period of 70 to 90 days, this variety ensures predictable development cycles, which is essential for efficient harvest planning and high-quality biomass accumulation.

Resilience Against Crop Diseases

One of the primary agronomic challenges in pulse cultivation is the pressure from fungal diseases. Floriya was specifically selected for high resistance to powdery mildew and rust. By reducing the need for intensive fungicide applications, this variety helps lower input costs while ensuring plant health throughout the season.

Practical Scenarios for Farmers

• Fodder Production: Excellent biomass yields make it a reliable component for green manure or hay production.
• Soil Enrichment: As a legume, Floriya acts as an effective nitrogen-fixing cover crop, preparing the field for subsequent cereal crops.
• Mixed Cropping: It displays great compatibility with oats or barley, ensuring a uniform stand that simplifies combine harvesting.

Bred by the team of experts at RosNIISK «Rossorgo» (V.I. Zhuzhukin, S.A. Zaytsev, D.P. Volkov), the Floriya variety is engineered to combine yield potential with ease of management. For farms prioritizing risk mitigation and consistent fodder performance, this variety offers a proven, technologically sound solution.
