Vegetable Pea POSTREL

Field Performance: «Postrel» Pea

Working with seeds from «Evro-Semena» shows that the «Postrel» variety is designed for predictability and ease of management. With a vegetative period of 70-80 days, it fits perfectly into any crop rotation, providing a steady supply of high-quality produce.

Key Features for the Grower

• Consistent Yield: The pods range from 6 to 9 cm in length, consistently packing 6 to 10 seeds per pod. This density ensures a high yield per square meter, making it a reliable choice for your garden.
• Disease Resistance: This is the standout feature of the variety. Its resistance to Ascochyta blight and powdery mildew is a significant advantage, as it maintains plant health even during humid seasons without excessive chemical intervention.
• Quality and Handling: As a medium-seeded variety, it is perfect for both fresh consumption and processing. The harvest window is flexible, allowing you to pick at peak quality without the beans becoming too starchy or tough too quickly.

Operational Notes

Maintenance is straightforward. The variety requires basic agronomic care—consistent watering and timely weeding are enough to achieve full potential. Because of its natural resistance to common pathogens, the need for intensive fungicide spraying is greatly reduced, saving both time and inputs. For those looking for a robust and low-maintenance pea variety, «Postrel» is a solid performer.
