Vegetable Pea Polzunok

The vegetable pea variety Polozunok is an early-ripening and high-yielding leafless pea variety that is distinguished by its early maturity period — from 50 to 73 days from germination to technical ripeness. The plant reaches a height of 70-75 cm and does not require tying or support, which facilitates its cultivation. The pods are light green, slightly curved, up to 10 cm long, and contain 6 to 9 sweet and tender peas with high taste qualities and increased protein content. Thanks to the long fruiting period among early varieties, Polozunok ensures a stable and abundant harvest. This pea variety is known for being unpretentious and easy to grow, growing well both in open ground and under home conditions, for example, in pots on a window sill. For successful cultivation, fertile soil, regular watering, and fertilization are recommended; however, the plant does not tolerate drought. The optimal temperature for growth ranges from +15°C to +20°C. Polozunok is resistant to diseases, making it a reliable choice for gardeners and farmers seeking to obtain a high-quality and nutritious harvest. Polozunok peas are widely used in cooking due to their high nutritional and technical characteristics. They are excellent for consumption fresh, as well as for freezing and canning. The high content of vitamins and beneficial substances makes this variety particularly valuable for healthy eating. Thanks to the sweet taste and tender texture of the peas, Polozunok is an excellent ingredient for various dishes, making it popular among lovers of home cooking.
