Vegetable Pea Feya

Growing 'Feya' vegetable peas: a grower's perspective

When working with the 'Feya' variety from Fita-alfa, the primary advantage is its reliability. With a vegetation period of 50-60 days, it is a fast-maturing crop that fits perfectly into rotation plans, allowing for quick harvest before the summer heat settles in.

Key performance indicators

• Yield Potential: Each pod consistently develops 8-10 large peas. The pod length of 7-8 cm and its distinct sharp shape make the harvesting process intuitive and efficient.
• Plant Maintenance: This variety is well-adapted to standard growing conditions. To achieve the advertised large-seeded profile, consistent irrigation during the flowering and pod-filling phase is essential. It is a stable, consistent variety that does not throw surprises typical of unstable hybrids.

Practical take

Working with Fita-alfa genetics feels professional. The standout trait of 'Feya' is its synchronized maturity. You won't find yourself harvesting the same patch repeatedly over weeks; the crop comes in uniform, which saves significant labor time. If you prioritize ease of harvest and a quick turnaround for high-quality, large-seeded peas, 'Feya' delivers consistent results with minimal fuss.
