EMERALD KERNELS is an early-maturing vegetable pea variety intended for fresh green pea consumption, as well as for canning and freezing. The plant is characterized by a medium stem length and a normal leaf type of medium size and green color. The stipules have a shape resembling "rabbit ears", medium size, with a waxy coating and high mottling density. The flowers are creamy, medium size, giving the plant a neat and attractive appearance. The pods of the variety are straight, medium length and width, with an acute tip. At technical maturity, they are green and have a parchment layer. The attachment height of the lower pod is about 35 cm. The seeds are medium size, strongly wrinkled, with yellow cotyledons. Peas at technical maturity are distinguished by good taste qualities, making them universal for various methods of preparation and consumption. The yield of green peas of the EMERALD KERNELS variety is 0.8-0.9 kg per square meter, which is a good indicator for early-maturing shelling varieties. Thanks to its characteristics, this variety is suitable for both home growing and industrial production, providing a stable and high-quality crop of green peas.
