HAVSKY PEARL

Havsky Pearl is a mid-season variety of shelling vegetable pea with a vegetation period of 54 to 70 days. The plants reach a height of 70 to 100 cm and have stems with a dark green waxy coating. The pods are slightly curved, 7-8 cm long, dark green with a pointed tip, containing 5 to 10 seeds that have a starchy structure and a yellow-green hue. The pods ripen evenly, ensuring uniform harvest collection. The number of pods per plant varies from 8 to 16 pieces. The taste of the peas is excellent, making them in demand for fresh consumption, as well as freezing and canning.

The variety is characterized by high yield, reaching 0.3-0.7 kg of green peas per square meter, and resistance to root rots and ascohitosis. Havsky Pearl prefers fertile loamy and medium loam soils with a neutral or slightly acidic reaction, as well as requiring good aeration and sufficient moisture throughout the vegetation period. Seeds are sown in open ground in early spring, usually in early May, to a depth of 3-6 cm depending on the soil type. The recommended planting scheme is 15x30 or 15x45 cm. Trellises or other supports are installed as needed to support the plants.

The culture is cold-resistant and moisture-loving; seedlings can withstand short-term frost down to -6°C. To improve the quality and productivity of the crop, it is recommended to fertilize with micro-fertilizers containing boron and molybdenum. Havsky Pearl is a good predecessor for most crops, except for legumes. Due to its taste qualities, durability, and high yield, this pea variety is excellent for growing both at home and on an industrial scale.
