Tulip Virily Pink

Performance and Resilience in Lily-Flowered Tulips

Virichic is a tulip variety that bridges the gap between high-end aesthetic demand and practical field reliability. As a late-blooming lily-flowered type, it is often chosen for its ability to extend the commercial season, but its true value for an operator lies in its biological robustness.

Operational Handling and Disease Management

Managing Virichic is straightforward due to its superior resistance profile. When running a production cycle, the biggest risks are soil-borne pathogens and viral outbreaks that can decimate a late-harvest crop. Virichic mitigates these risks effectively:

• Infection Resistance: The variety shows remarkable tolerance to Verticillium and Fusarium wilt, making it suitable for intensive cultivation even in challenging soil conditions.
• Health Stability: Minimal susceptibility to Tobacco Mosaic Virus and Cladosporium rot translates into a cleaner, less intensive spraying schedule.

From an operational perspective, the tall, sturdy stem is a major asset. It simplifies mechanical maintenance and cutting, significantly reducing the labor cost associated with grading. The petals maintain their characteristic soft pink hue and elegant lily-like shape throughout post-harvest handling, which is crucial for maintaining a low rejection rate at the market level. It is a productive, low-maintenance variety that delivers premium consistency for the late-spring cycle.
