Reliability and Aesthetics of Late-Blooming Tulips

The «Pitsure» tulip variety occupies a niche among simple late-blooming tulips, highly valued by professional growers for its exceptional predictability. Unlike many varieties prone to rapid degradation, this tulip possesses a robust immunity, making it the preferred choice for regions with high soil-borne pathogen pressure.

Agrotechnical Advantages

The key factor for choosing «Pitsure» is its genetic resistance to a complex of diseases that annually destroy a significant portion of harvests in less resilient varieties. This cultivar demonstrates reliable resistance to:

• Verticillium and Fusarium wilt — the primary threats to industrial floriculture.
• Tobacco mosaic virus, ensuring the purity and vibrance of the petals.
• Cladosporium, allowing for intensive planting with reduced fungicide applications.

The tall stem of the «Pitsure» provides an excellent market appearance for cut flowers, while the delicate pink shade of the petals aligns with current floristry trends, where natural and soft color transitions are highly prioritized.

Who is this variety for?

This hybrid is an optimal solution for large farms focused on late-season cut flower production. It requires less chemical intervention to maintain plant health, significantly lowering the cost of the final product. However, it is important to note that as a late-blooming variety, it requires precise logistics planning: the peak flowering period occurs when the market is already saturated with early-group varieties, necessitating a strategic marketing approach for successful sales.
