Tulip Candy Club

Reliability and Predictability for Flower Growers

Working with the 'Candy Club' tulip quickly demonstrates why this cultivar is considered a staple for professional floriculture. As a simple late-flowering tulip, it requires minimal intervention, behaving predictably during both greenhouse forcing and field cultivation. From an agronomist's perspective, the primary value of this hybrid lies in its robust health. In environments where other cultivars fall victim to Fusarium wilt or Verticillium wilt, 'Candy Club' remains remarkably resilient.

Technical Specifications and Performance

• Disease Resistance: The cultivar exhibits significant natural resistance to Tobacco mosaic virus and Cladosporium, which drastically simplifies phytosanitary management and reduces the need for constant chemical monitoring.
• Growth Habits: Its medium height makes it highly suitable for automated harvesting lines. The stems are sturdy and maintain their form well, minimizing breakage during transport and retail packaging.
• Operational Efficiency: Low post-harvest loss rates make this variety a cost-effective choice. It does not require excessive adjustments in cultivation parameters.

The aesthetic appeal of 'Candy Club' lies in its delicate white and pink coloration. As a late-season variety, it fills a crucial market niche when standard options are fading. For the operator, the key benefit is the uniform opening of the flower, ensuring a consistent product for the end consumer without premature petal drop. It is a reliable, high-yield asset for any production cycle, focusing on profitability and minimal operational maintenance.
