Tulip Jacqueline

Practical Application in Commercial Floriculture

The 'Jacqueline' tulip is a distinguished representative of the Lily-flowered class, widely sought after for late-season production. Its characteristic elongated buds with slightly reflexed petals make it an aesthetic benchmark for premium bouquets and high-end floral arrangements.

Agronomic Advantages and Disease Resistance

For large-scale operations, the primary value of the 'Jacqueline' variety lies in its robust resistance to common fungal pathogens, specifically downy mildew and powdery mildew. This trait significantly reduces the need for frequent chemical interventions, lowering operational costs and mitigating the risk of crop loss during high-humidity cycles.

• Late Flowering Schedule: Ideal for extending the harvest window after standard early hybrids have finished.
• Growth Profile: Tall, strong stems support the unique floral structure, making them well-suited for professional harvesting procedures.
• Operational Focus: Best used in environments where controlled temperature cycles are maintained to ensure uniform development of the pink-hued blooms.

When managing a crop of 'Jacqueline', the focus should remain on maintaining optimal ventilation and airflow within the growing space to complement its natural disease resistance. Its tall stature requires careful spacing to ensure that each plant receives adequate light, which is crucial for achieving the intense pink coloration and structural integrity required by the wholesale market.
