Chrysanthemum ARIADE

Operational and Growth Specifications of 'Ariadna'

Developed by the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the 'Ariadna' chrysanthemum is a high-value commercial variety. It is specifically bred for cut flower production, featuring a distinctive spider-like (webbed) petal structure that demands precise handling during the post-harvest phase.

Cultivation Cycle and Efficiency

The growth cycle from planting to harvest ranges between 91 and 120 days. As a medium-height cultivar (30–60 cm), it is manageable for greenhouse operations, allowing for dense planting patterns. The large flower head, exceeding 10 cm in diameter, is the primary economic driver for this variety, though it necessitates optimal nutrient management to ensure stem rigidity and bloom size.

Maintenance and Hardiness

With a moderate frost resistance rating, 'Ariadna' is best suited for controlled greenhouse environments or sheltered garden settings. The bloom longevity exceeds 40 days, which is a significant advantage for logistics and retail shelf life. When harvesting, individual sleeving is recommended to protect the delicate, spider-form pink petals from mechanical compression.

• Extended blooming period of 40+ days maximizes revenue opportunities for growers.
• Compact stature simplifies daily maintenance and harvesting procedures.
• Professional-grade flower diameter makes it a premium choice for high-end floral design.
