Tulip Transavia

The Benchmark of Spring Floriculture

The 'Transavia' tulip is a classic Triumph variety that has long held a strong position in the cut flower market and landscape design. Developed by Dutch breeders, this variety has become a gold standard for endurance among mid-season hybrids, offering an optimal balance of aesthetics and agricultural reliability.

Agronomic Profile and Resilience

The main advantage of 'Transavia' lies in its genetic resilience. In intensive growing conditions, the variety demonstrates high resistance to common pathogens, including downy mildew (peronospora), phomopsis, and phoma leaf spot. Such resistance significantly optimizes costs for fungicide protection and minimizes the risk of crop loss during spring humidity fluctuations.

• Plant Type: A classic Triumph tulip with a strong, sturdy stem.
• Morphology: A tall-growing variety, making it ideal for professional cut flower production and decorative landscape clusters.
• Color Palette: The vibrant yellow petals feature high saturation and are resistant to fading under direct sunlight.
• Blooming Cycle: Mid-season flowering allows for effective planning of supply chains and landscape compositions.

Market Positioning

For professional growers, this variety remains a reliable workhorse due to its predictability. The dense flower cup and its ability to maintain a fresh commercial appearance for a long time after cutting make it highly sought after in retail. In landscaping, 'Transavia' is valued for its uniform height and harmonious plant structure, which remains upright even under adverse weather conditions.
