Tulip Omega

Efficiency in the Spring Cycle

When cultivating Triumph class tulips like 'Omega', the focus is on reliability. For an operator, this translates to a precise agrotechnical schedule without unpleasant surprises. The variety maintains strong structural integrity during forcing: the tall stem does not require additional support netting, significantly reducing labor costs during the intensive growth phase.

Phytosanitary Control and Resistance

Field experience confirms 'Omega's' high tolerance to pathogens critical for bulb crops. Protecting plantings from downy mildew, phomopsis, and phoma requires fewer fungicide treatments compared to more demanding varieties. This means not only direct savings on chemicals but also a simplified technological map: fewer equipment passes between rows reduce soil compaction and the risk of mechanical damage to the flower stalks.

Operational Features

• Forcing: The mid-season blooming period allows for flexible harvesting schedules tailored to peak demand dates, easing logistics pressure.
• Quality: The intense red petal color shows high resistance to fading, which is essential for maintaining premium appearance in retail.
• Maintenance: The variety is highly responsive to standard fertilization protocols and does not require specialized micronutrient cocktails.

By working with 'Omega', the grower secures a predictable yield of standard-grade product with minimal culling. It is a workhorse variety that forgives minor environmental fluctuations and consistently delivers a high-quality flower.
